With all of the jobs within my competence done, it’s time to let the WRX off to a qualified mechanic to finish off the bits that I can’t. The two major jobs are the installation of a timing belt kit and clutch kit. The timing belt was last done at 92k miles in 2012, so it’d be tempting fate not to do it. The clutch feels solid but biting point is high and since the original is in for 137k miles, then it hardly owes me anything. I’ve asked the guys to give it a quick once over and I’d expect a few bushings may need to be replaced. Until then, the shed is empty, and I’ll be keeping a close eye on my phone for updates.
